The Academy is an assembly of influencers, academics, and leaders in entrepreneurship and economic development. Each prospective Member is invited to join The Academy based on demonstrated interest in entrepreneur-driven societal advancement. The Academy benefits the entrepreneurial community in three major ways:
- The Academy connects individual entrepreneurs into the larger movement; and
- The Academy focuses independent clusters of resources on a more coordinated vision of the entrepreneurial community.
- The Academy votes on startups to be recognized in the annual list.
Through the 30 Startups process, Academy Members gain greater access and insight on thousands of innovators and aspiring entrepreneurs. Moreover, participation affords Academy Members special perspective on the startup ecosystem and creates opportunities to engage the community in new ways.
